Winsome joined Cairnstone Re in July of 2001 with experience gained as an underwriter in two MGUs as well as in Reinsurance Brokerage. She has 11 years of experience as a Reinsurance Underwriter primarily in HMO and Employer Stop Loss products. Her responsibilities included the supervision and audit of a $40 million book of managed health reinsurance business as well as management of Underwriting, Claims and Administration departments. In addition, Winsome has experience in policy/contract development, pricing, provider arrangement analysis, development of underwriting manuals and performing due diligence for risk selection.

Prior to entering the reinsurance arena, Winsome worked at both American Life Insurance Company and The Travelers Insurance Company where she was responsible for underwriting group health insurance plans on a first dollar basis, supervising and various departments relative to Underwriting Services and conducting seminars for sales and trainee staff members.
